Every plant we sell we grow from seed, here in Aylmer, Quebec, on our own property, using seeds ethically harvested locally, from our own gardens here in Aylmer, or obtained from reputable near seed sources whose ethics align with ours. This is how we ensure that every plant we sell is 100% Localeaf. While we expect to have some 2 and 3 year old plants available for sale this year, most of the plants you can expect to find from us this year will be small, plug-sized plants, with small, affordable prices to match.
In 2026, we will continue growing native plants, but are also expanding our growing efforts to include a very large selection and variety of native trees and shrubs, particularly edible species for both humans and wildlife, with the goal of eventually seeing these planted in our community, hopefully supporting more urban tiny forests and native – first food forest projects.
Species list will be added to here, in batches, as we get our seeds winter sown.
