Let’s Grow Together!
Saturday, February 28th, 2025, 10:00 am – 3:00 pm
LOCATION: Pavillion Robert-Middlemiss, 1 rue Principale, Aylmer (Gatineau)

We are thrilled to announce the very first 🌱Seedy Saturday Aylmer🌱event coming to our community! The event is being piloted together with Partenaires du Secteur Aylmer, Pollinate / Polliniser Aylmer and Localeaf, with support from Seeds of Diversity Canada.
Seedy Saturday is a Canada-wide grassroots movement, organized in communities, by communities, around the idea of sharing and swapping seeds, building community, growing food and preserving ancestral seeds.
The best part? Everything is absolutely FREE.
What to Expect
Free Seeds!!
Expect to find a diverse collection of seeds for every type of gardener and grower:
🥕 Vegetable Seeds
🌿 Herb Seeds
🍓 Fruit Seeds
🦋 Native Plant Seeds (obviously, if we’re involved 😉)
Pollinate Aylmer will have a large table set up with native wildflower and grass seeds, collected right here in Aylmer, from Localeaf Gardens, packaged and ready to share further in our community. We hope to have many more tables with many more local growers and seeds and resources available and donated to the community.
Free Workshops!!
Expect access to a series of 100% free workshops put on by members of our community, on diverse topics such as garden planning, companion planting, planting for pollinators, medicinal plants, and activities for children to enjoy while you browse free seeds
Community Links
Meet local organizations working right here in Aylmer and surrounding area, in our community, for our community. Learn more about our local initiatives around food security, environment, community outreach and support. Find out how these organizations can help you, or how you can help them.
This event is meant to build our community and facilitate the sharing of knowledge and resources. Come and get seeds, or share your own!
For more details, follow @psaylmer and @localeafgardens on Facebook or Instagram. We will post updates as we have them.

Got Seeds? Bring them!!
We are happily accepting your seed donations to help make this exchange a success for our community! We ask that all seeds be non-GMO, to the best of your knowledge. You can drop them off ahead of the event, or even bring them with you on Seedy Saturday.
Drop-off: If you have seeds, please package them up in little tiny envelopes or bags for easy sharing. We would appreciate a label including variety, source and year collected, plus any additional details you would like to share
Need Help? You can also drop off your loose seeds at the PSA, or the Aylmer Foodbank, and our team will lovingly package them ahead of time.
